Active Release Technique (ART)

Active Release Technique is a comprehensive treatment system precisely engineered to locate and quickly resolve soft-tissue injuries. ART has exceptional efficacy in the treatment of spinal, sports and overuse injuries. ART assists the healthcare practitioner in identifying & resolving conditions that are often misdiagnosed and inefficiently treated by conventional methods. Many patients discover they no longer have “to live with pain”. They find they no longer have to endure compromised mobility or endure tedious regimens for a full recovery.

Soft tissue injuries rarely require surgery but often can keep an athlete “on the shelf” if not treated correctly. ART not only helps solve the problem, but it also helps keep the athlete training without having to miss time. All of our professional and Olympic athletes view ART as a vital part of their care to keep their bodies functioning at optimal levels. It is all too common where patients are forced into an exercise routine to “fix” their painful condition.

They often come to our clinic frustrated that “strengthening exercises” did not fix their condition. This is where ART shines. When done with expert care, ART allows the condition to heal in a timely manner and then the patient can begin strengthening exercises. Rather than have a patient in acute pain try to perform painful movements for strength, we utilize ART to restore range of motion with function. This is what allows the patient to return back to their sport & activities they love.
